Milwaukee

Milwaukeeis the largest city in theStateofWisconsinand the fifth-largest city in theMidwestern United States. Thecounty seatofMilwaukee County, it is onLake Michigan's western shore. According to the 2010 census, Milwaukee has a population of 594,833. Milwaukee is the main cultural and economic center of theMilwaukee–Racine–Waukesha Metropolitan Areawith a population of 2,043,904 as of anofficial 2014 estimate.

Known for itsbrewingtraditions, major new additions to the city include theMilwaukee Riverwalk, theWisconsin Center,Miller Park, an expansion to theMilwaukee Art Museum,Milwaukee Repertory Theater, andPier Wisconsin, as well as major renovations to theUW–Milwaukee Panther Arena. In addition, many new skyscrapers, condos, lofts and apartments have been built inneighborhoodson and near the lakefront and riverbanks.
